Values and Ethos

Our Motto

Learning with God and Each Other to be the Best We Can Be

Our Core Christian Value

Respect

Respect: The Good Samaritan, Luke 10: 25-37

Our School Vision

We are one Christ like family.  Our vision is to see our school, family, wider community and church working together to enable all to flourish.

We will achieve this by demonstrating respect in all that we do as we live life together just as the Good Samaritan did.

Realising our God given potential
Enjoying each day
Supporting and serving our communities
Praising and worshiping
Encouraging each other
Celebrating diversity
Treating others as we would want to be treated.  Luke 6: 31

Spiritual Development

Definition

“Spirituality is the act of being fully human by revealing ourselves, our relationship with others, with beauty and the beyond and doing so through love and respect.”

How spirituality fits in with our Vision and Values

Realising our God given potential – self
Enjoying each day – beauty
Supporting and serving our communities – others
Praising and worshiping – wonder
Encouraging each other – others
Celebrating diversity – others
Treating others as we would want to be treated.  Luke 6: 31 – LOVE

Opportunities for Spiritual Development

  • Whole school worship including weekly reflection as part of our weekly Celebration Worship and some stand-alone worships throughout the academic year.
  • Opportunities are planned through our curriculum. These can be found within our Spirituality Coverage document.
  • Our cultural capital offer will also provide opportunities for our children to develop spirituality.
  • There are always the spontaneous opportunities that provide spiritual moments for our children.
