Year 3 Egyptians Workshop

To help bring their Egyptian topic to life our Year 3 children experienced an informative workshop which looked at mummification, how the pyramids were built and the life of the Pharaohs.  As you can see the children loved it!

Year 1/Year 2 Visit to Chester Zoo

Our year 1 and year 2 children visited Chester Zoo on one of the hottest days of the summer term.  Despite the heat they had a great time and enjoyed seeing and learning about the animals.

Jack Brereton MP

Our nursery and reception had an extra special story-time when our local MP Jack Brereton came into school to read them his favourite story, The Gruffalo.  We would like to thank Jack for finding the time to read to our wonderful children.

Year 3 visit to Hope Quarry

As part of their Rocks and Soils project year 3 visited Hope Quarry.  They discovered very different scenery and landscapes to the town and city they are familiar with.

Royal Tea Party

To help celebrate the marriage of Prince William and Megan Markle we held our very own Street Party on the playground.  We even had our own royal family, including Harry and Megan!

Science Day

Our children thoroughly enjoyed a day of Science during Science Week.  We were joined by parents along with staff and pupils from our local high schools as well as a Physics Lecturer from Keele University.  The children found it to be a truly inspirational day.

Severn Trent Water Workshop

We were really pleased to welcome Severn Trent Water into our school to deliver a workshop to children and parents about water from both a scientific and environmental point of view.

Bikeability

As part of our Health and Safety provision our year 4 and year 6 children participated in Bikeability sessions to help them Stay Safe when they are cycling to and from school.  All children who participated were a real credit to our school.

Maundy Thursday Eucharist

The spring term ended with a Maundy Thursday Eucharist at Christ Church led by Father Tommy.   He washed the feet of our Worship Ambassadors just as Jesus had done.  

Safe & Sound with Year 6

Our year 6 children participated in a local authority health and safety event aimed at providing some vital life skills as the children move from primary into secondary school.  The event included fire safety, road safety and much more.

Year 5 visit to Cosford Air Museum

To support their learning in science on forces, year 5 visited Cosford Air Museum.  They took part in a forces workshop and then explored the museum.  A great time was had by all!
